As we opened our gates this June, the joyful hum of students returning filled our campus with life once again. There was a special magic in the air—smiles exchanged, hugs shared, and the unmistakable spark of new beginnings. This year, as we embrace the theme Beyond Horizons, the first day back to school was a symbolic step into a year of possibility, where every child is encouraged to dream bigger, explore deeper, and go further than ever before.
What made this beginning truly meaningful was the collective care and intention behind each moment. From the way our teachers designed welcoming classrooms to the joyful assemblies and interactive experiences, every engagement helped rekindle connections and build trust. Watching our learners take ownership—whether through student-led reflections, creativity during events, or their sheer enthusiasm to be back—showed us that growth isn’t just about learning facts, but about nurturing confidence and character.
June was more than a transition—it was a celebration of belonging, purpose, and potential. I am deeply grateful to our staff and parent community for walking alongside us in shaping these early days. Together, we’ve laid a strong foundation, and I look forward to watching our learners journey beyond the familiar, stretch their wings, and soar beyond horizons in the months to come.

The first day after summer break began with warm welcomes, fun ice-breakers, and a lively Zumba session. Students reconnected, shared stories, and eased into the new academic year with confidence and excitement—setting a positive tone for the journey ahead.
The first assembly of the academic year began on a heartfelt note with a prayer song and the Oakridge School song, setting a tone of gratitude and unity. Engaging energizers and a delightful puppet show kept learners excited and inspired. The assembly fostered a strong sense of community and marked a meaningful start to the year.
We warmly welcomed our parent community to the PYP Parent Orientation, kicking off the academic year with connection and shared purpose. The session offered insights into the PYP philosophy and our inquiry-based approach, setting the tone for a year of growth, discovery, and partnership.
Our Early Years Phased Induction welcomed young learners with engaging indoor and outdoor activities to ensure a smooth transition. Through play, creativity, and connection, children began building routines, confidence, and friendships—setting the stage for joyful, lifelong learning.
The Student Summit held at The Village School in Houston, Texas was a transformative experience that brought together students and educators from across the Nord Anglia network for a powerful week of learning, dialogue, and action. Workshops led by UNICEF and the World’s Largest Lesson helped students explore their passions, purpose, and advocacy skills, while teachers participated in a UNICEF emergency simulation to understand humanitarian response.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), Article 29, which emphasizes a child’s right to education that develops respect for the natural environment. It also supports Sustainable Development Goal 15 – Life on Land, by fostering awareness and action towards restoring ecosystems and preserving biodiversity.
Our learners celebrated a joyful Week Without Walls filled with creativity, collaboration, and connection. From outdoor breakfasts to co-creating Golden Rules, every moment encouraged ownership, unity, and hands-on exploration—making it a memorable start to learning beyond boundaries.
The Ink and Insight event brought together the creativity of the English, Social Studies, Commerce, and Business Studies departments in a dynamic showcase of ideas. From blogs and podcasts to thought-provoking discussions and business simulations, students explored the power of language, society, and innovation.
Oakridge Bachupally celebrated Father’s Day with joy and gratitude, honouring the amazing dads in our school community. From high-energy Zumba and bonding activities to sweet treats and heartfelt handmade gifts, the day was filled with love, laughter, and special moments—including an adorable ‘Twinning Moment’ that stole everyone’s hearts.
The school marked International Yoga Day with calm energy and great enthusiasm. Students began the day with Pranayama and simple yoga postures, embracing the importance of physical and mental well-being in a serene, nature-filled setting.
A special virtual session for parents, led by Oakridge educators – Manas Ranjan Sahoo and Pravalika, focused on mindfulness, movement, and self-care—offering a moment to pause, breathe, and recharge.
Students from CBSE Grades 6–12 showcased their artistic flair in the Inter House Art Competition. With enthusiastic participation from all four houses, the event became a canvas of imagination, as learners expressed their thoughts through vibrant and meaningful creations.
Our “Meet Your Teacher” initiative was a heartwarming start to the year, as students and parents connected with new teachers in a welcoming environment. With shared goals and exciting plans ahead, the session built a strong sense of community and enthusiasm for the journey forward.
A fresh set of enhancements to our play spaces are been done!
Our Jungle Gym has been revamped to spark more adventure and active fun, giving kids the perfect outlet to climb, explore, and grow. Behind the Nursery, we’ve transformed the play area into a vibrant zone with soft artificial grass, ensuring safer, cleaner, and more joyful playtime for our little learners.
These upgrades are just the beginning! Every change is inspired by the thoughtful feedback from our amazing parent community. Your voices matter—and they’re shaping a better, brighter learning environment for every child.

As a parent, my journey with the school has been a blend of excitement, learning, and growth. Walking into the classroom, I was greeted by colorful artwork and enthusiastic teachers who were genuinely interested in my child’s development. The teachers shared detailed insights into my child’s progress, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. It was reassuring to see how dedicated they were to fostering a positive learning environment. Extracurricular activities have also played a significant role in our positive experience, from sports to music and art, the school offers a wide range of activities that cater to different interests.
Overall, my experience as a parent with my child’s school has been overwhelmingly positive. The school’s commitment to holistic education, the supportive and nurturing environment, and the opportunities for parental involvement along with the kids made my experience ended on a very positive note so far.
