From Oakridge to Stanford

Oakridger Prakeerthi from Visakhapatnam and Ishvi from Bachupally, each have secured a seat at Stanford University, Top 10 in QS World Ranking for college admission.
Prakeerthi, a student of grade 12, IBDP will be pursuing Computer Science and Management for her Undergraduate Studies at Stanford. “IBDP students at Oakridge are offered a host of global exposure programs like Entrepreneurship program, Leadership program, Oxford Summer Courses, TEDx, MUNs. Such programs help develop leadership quality in students and an understanding of challenges and opportunities in the global economy. These are the qualities that a top-world university looks for in a student during admissions”, said Shaila Bhamidipati, Principal, Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam.
Ishvi, a student of grade 12, CBSE made tremendous achievement by receiving an 85% scholarship and will be pursuing an Undergraduate Program in Computer Science at Stanford. “I am very thankful to my teachers and friends for believing in me. The support I have received from our principal Ms. Baljeet is unimaginable. I’m elated that I not only made my parents proud but my school was marked on the maps of our country. The right guidance from the start has really helped me reach the height I’m at today. Stanford is a dream come true for me”, said Ms. Ishvi.
