With the mission of educating both the minds and hearts of the students, Mr. Biju Baby took up the teaching profession at a young age.
Mr. Biju Baby brings to the Oakridge team an experience of over 25 years in secondary and tertiary education both in India and abroad. He comes from The Cathedral School in Lonavala, where he was the Vice Principal. Mr. Biju is not new to the Oakridge family, he has worked in his previous capacity as IB Physics teacher, IB Diploma Coordinator and Vice Principal (International Curriculum) at Oakridge International School, Newton School in Hyderabad, a career spanning over a decade.
During his tenure, the IB Diploma programme of the school reached its pinnacle with students being placed in most of the top universities of the world. He has spearheaded the IB five-year evaluation at Newton School, which brought in many commendations regarding the maturity in implementation of the programme at the school. Prior to working at Oakridge he worked for over a decade in the Oceania region.
His passion for his students to scale greater heights has earned him the teacher tribute award from Stanford University. Mr. Biju takes a lot of interest in guiding his students with regards to their career choices and profile building. He likes travelling, interacting with people of varied cultural backgrounds, cooking and where possible indulging with latest technology. He holds a BSc. Math, MSc. Physics, B.Ed., Diploma in Education. Admin and Diploma in Mgt. Stds.

With a deep-rooted commitment to education, Mrs. Lydia Christina believes that the formative years are the most important in a child’s life and one needs to provide the most conducive environment and support to lay a strong foundation. Love for children and passion to nurture young minds was the reason to choose this noble profession.
For the past 16 years, Lydia has effortlessly taken up different responsibilities as a teacher, coordinator, teachers trainer and Headmistress. She comes with a rich experience in International IB schools across the country. IB PYP accreditation was a feather in her cap. Carrying accolades from the various in-school and regional IB workshops, that she has attended in the journey of her learning has given her the authority to carve a niche in the education sector. She exudes energy through her action to motivate her team to compete with themselves, reputedly keeping the laurels to rest on for some other day. She enjoys art and craft, singing and dancing. This apart, cooking, and interior décor is what makes her free time more exciting. She is an Art graduate and an International Montessori Diploma holder. Her accomplishment serves as an inspiration to the school.
