Nalin comes with over two decades of experience in conducting research, designing programs, and service delivery across Education and Oil and Gas sectors. He holds an MBA Degree from Indian School of Business, Master Degree in Sociology from Osmania University. As an ex-merchant navy Captain, he dwells between ideal and achievable, research and practice, and long-term and short-term. He is passionate about evidence-based problem solving, relentless execution, and running a ‘tight ship.’
In his last assignment, Nalin was Director Program—Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, India, where he ran PAN India programs on natural resources management, education, disability, scholarships, and livelihood. Earlier, he was associated with the Indian School of Business as the Director-Dean’s Office. During his six years of association with ISB, he spearheaded several departments, including Operations, Projects, and Sustainability, and contributed towards the building and flourishing of a world-class global institution. In his previous avatar, in the Oil and Gas industry, he directed operations, global logistics, and health safety environment along with quality norms, of an Oil Platform at Ivory Coast, West Africa.
Curious by nature, Nalin is a student of Organizational Behaviour and explores the secret sauce of employee engagement and operational excellence. He has presented his research at top tier Business schools and published it in the Harvard Business Publishing, ISB InSight, and the Journal of Applied Psychology, a top tier Management Journal.
Nalin’s family includes his wife, Ms. Shivani Nalin, a special educator, two sons Avi Nalin and Ansh Nalin, and naughty Gabbar—an exuberant golden retriever.
Nalin is an audiophile, and his interests range from Sufi music to Psychedelic Rock. An avid reader, and a globe-trotter, Nalin believes that it is never too old to learn and there is no such thing as too much travel.
