22nd July has a significance related to the mathematical constant π Since 22/7 is widely used as an approximation for the irrational number π.
On this day, teaching and learning activities are conducted with the theme of Pi – day at OIS Bachupally campus. Students across the grades have actively participated and demonstrated excellent creativity and knowledge in various activities like creating pi – ku (Hi- Ku with the theme of pi), Pi-Skyscrapers, pi-showdown (reciting decimal places of pi), pi-necklace, pi-song and pi-sudoku etc,. Classroom discussions on various facts and methods of approximations of pi has created curiosity and interest among the learners.
