Eco Hub, where Oakridgers engage in learning environmental issues

  • 1 March 2022

As part of the Nord Anglia Family, our students at Oakridge International Schools get the opportunity to access the Global Campus’ Eco Hub, designed to give students authentic opportunities to engage in environmental issues.

8 Billion Angels’ is an inspirational film that highlights global environmental emergencies. This movie weaves together the voices of ordinary people around the world, from Kansas and Maine to Japan and India, as they confront the growing impact of overpopulation on their lives and the health of the planet’s rivers, oceans, land and air. The documentary series offers practical and positive solutions addressing sustainability and environmental issues while seeking to improve the lives of people around the world.

There’s also a Plastics Challenge with practical solutions on how to reduce the amount of plastic we use in our everyday lives.

It will develop students’ perspectives and empower them to take action in support of sustainability, conservation, and the environment. It will feature activities, resources, and forums where students can fight extinction, compete in challenges, become food waste warriors, and engage with other students to develop solutions for climate change. Students of all ages will be able to participate in Eco Hub, including GC Junior and GC Senior.
