“As you all know schools across the city have been closed because of the potential threat of spreading the contagious virus COVID-19. Just as our government was planning for the safety and well being of all its citizens, we at Oakridge too started to work on implementing virtual classes. School may be closed but learning continues. Our motivated teams in the primary and secondary segment immediately chalked out the plan for conducting online classes and prepared tasks for the students. The ICT team considered and evaluated all viable options that will help sustain online classes. Teacher training for using the required software and technology like school post, google meet were put into place within no time. With the enthusiasm of our teachers and support of the staff members we have successfully transitioned into conducting online classes across the school. Online classes are being conducted for all subjects. It’s amazing to see our little learners from the pre-primary to the students preparing for their board exams in the secondary to be fully focused on their learning. We appreciate the dedication of our Oakridge teachers and cooperation of the parent community. Our students are constructively engaged and we are loving the experience.
These past weeks are a powerful reminder of just how connected we are to one another—and how learning never stops for us and for our students” says MYP Coordinator, Ms. Richa Mehrotra.
