Our Children are the present, past and future! They are the change-makers and can think and plan above and beyond our visions! This World’s Children’s Day, our students have taken the initiative to educate the community on Child Rights. The children began with unraveling their rights, researching and comprehending what each right means and how it applies to them and all the children around.
Nursery to Grade 3 had a fun-filled day where they explored their Right to play. Through outdoor games, children understood the objective of play and what is its importance. The celebration continued with the students participating in a picnic which emphasized the Right to Live and Develop.
Grade 4 focused on the Right to Safety and created prototypes that will help track and keep children safe. Grade 5 looked at the issues around the globe and explored the causes, effects, and impact of various global issues and what actions can be taken to solve the same. The ‘RIGHT’ Pathway, an exhibition by Grades 6 to 8, explored the lives of children in Africa, China, and India. Children investigated the implementation and understanding of the Right to education, the Right to Play, Right to live and develop, Right to be heard and taken seriously and right to be treated fairly. Grade 9 to 12 involve the community and created awareness towards these Rights. A Nukkad Natak aka Street Play’- Childhood to Right hood was presented by the Senior Secondary Students at the Sector 17 Plaza.
