Six teams from Oakridge Bangalore battled it out during the qualifying rounds for the F1 National championships on 7th March.
Team Vector 6.1 comprising of our Grade 5 students secured 1st position and Team God Speed from Grade 7, 8 obtained 2nd position. Both the teams will be participating in the national championship in Delhi soon. The teams collaborated and survived many challenges together, while designing the prototypes or acquiring sponsorship. For Team Vector 6.1 and Godspeed, their synergy and problem solving skills as well as their thorough planning, analysis, technical know- how, creativity and enthusiasm ensured their victory.
Our students independently managed branding, marketing, sponsorship, finance and design of the cars, which helped them to learn about aerodynamics, physics, math, technology, team work/leadership skills and apply it in a real world scenario.
F1 IN SCHOOL is a multi- disciplinary challenge in which students from Grade 5 to 10 deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyse, manufacture, test, and then race miniature F1 cars.
