“Learn from experiences”, keeping this in mind students of MYP 5 have recently celebrated the final year of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP), by partaking in a Design Exhibition. During the month of November, these students were given a design situation from which they identify a challenge or problem; then use the Design Thinking cycle to create a product or solution.
Students presented an extended piece of independent research showcasing all the skills and knowledge they have developed throughout the program. Students individually decide their project topic, which enables great scope for creativity and allows the project to be tailored to the students’ own passions and interests. MYP5 students created stunning products like a Birdfeeder, Safe Bicycle, Food Waste management system, Automatic Soil Moisture controller, Matsya – A reconnaissance Fish bot, Hydrophonic garden, etc.
