Curricula enriched by world-leading organisations
At Oakridge International School, learning goes beyond the classroom and every day is a learning adventure for your child. As a Nord Anglia student, Oakridgers are entitled to the Nord Anglia Education collaborations:
Connecting your child to a Global Campus
The Global Campus connects our 66 schools and over 64,000 students to give our students daily access to global opportunities. As part of our global community, we enrich your child’s learning experience, whether it’s presenting to the United Nations in New York, connecting with thousands of other students through our online network, Global Campus, or travelling to Tanzania on our expeditions to learn how to give back and make a difference in the world.
Helping your child invent the future with MIT
Our collaboration with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) takes a real-world, hands-on approach to teaching STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Students will apply their knowledge through challenges designed by experts at MIT and participate in STEAMfest, our annual event in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our teachers also benefit from this unique professional development opportunities through annual workshops and ongoing training at the world’s leading university.
Preparing your child for the world stage with The Julliard School
Oakridge students will have the opportunity to expand their creativity and imagination through our performing arts programme with Julliard, a world leader in performing arts education. By studying and practicing the core works curated by Julliard in music, dance, and drama, students will develop their confidence, motivation and personal understanding of the world and other cultures, This opportunity also gives teachers a chance to network across our family of schools, and become part of a vibrant Julliard community with like-minded and passionate professionals.
Empowering your child to change the world with UNICEF
We collaborate with UNICEF to raise awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and our students will work with their school to create solutions for these global issues in their local communities. UNICEF also invite selected students from Nord Anglia Education schools to present their ideas on the SDGs at an event during the United Nations High Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development that takes place each July at the UN Headquarters in New York City. This is a unique opportunity for Nord Anglia students to contribute to the discussion and influence policy at the highest level.
