Red Day Celebration in Nursery

We had a vibrant celebration dedicated to the color red — a hue bursting with joy, energy, and excitement! Red being the color of courage, just like a superhero’s cape, and the color of action, like the brave fire trucks rushing to help.

Our little ones looked really adorable in their red outfits. They enjoyed playful, red-themed activities and discovered the beauty and meaning behind this lively color.

It was a delightful day filled with fun, learning, and lots of smiles!

Tech with a Twist

Our enthusiastic Grade 4 Oakridgers brought technology to life on stage this World Technology Day with an engaging role play and a lively tongue-twister song! Their performance cleverly highlighted the importance of using technology responsibly and thoughtfully.

A special assembly hosted with energy, creativity, and a clear message, that reminded us, all about the tools we use, and how we choose to use them, is what shapes our digital future. A truly fun and meaningful celebration!

JAM Contest in Grade 4B

Earlier this month, our Grade 4B students were motivated by their facilitator to participate and come forth to express themselves and speak their hearts out in a “Just a Minute” (JAM) contest. This activity went beyond the expectations as the learners thoroughly enjoyed listening to their peers and gained confidence and a sense of satisfaction, expressing themselves freely.

Annual Book Fair: A Literary Celebration

Our Book Fair this month was a real treat for our young readers and their parents. The Golden Gate was decked up with stories of imagination, friction, encyclopaedias, and so much more. It was so nice to see families walking around, picking out new stories to read together. One of our parent told us that their child wouldn’t put down a book about dinosaurs, even at bedtime—that’s the kind of excitement we hoped for! The fair brought us all closer through our love for reading, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event.

Intra-Class Talent Hunt Show

On the last working day before the summer break, the PYP students wrapped up the term with an exciting intra-class talent hunt. From theatre and dance to poetry, visual arts, and music—our young performers truly gave it their all. Meanwhile, the secondary students splashed into freestyle dance, celebrating their excitement for the upcoming summer camp and the much-awaited break. They also enjoyed a fun-filled day of sports and swimming, soaking in every moment. The entire Oakridge community was buzzing with joy and a relaxed vibe, ready to unwind and make the most of the summer ahead.

Journey to Wellness

Grade 4 went for a field trip to Fortis Hospital to learn more about health and nutrition. It really helped students understand the mechanism and framework of the hospitals highlighting its significance in life. They also had an opportunity to interact with few healthcare professionals and ask questions.

Virtual Science Voyage

Grade 2 had a fun and engaging virtual guest exposure as part of their Unit of Inquiry – How the World Works. The interactive session on ‘The Big Bang Theory’ brought science to life on screen and sparked a wave of curiosity, accompanied by a few interesting unknown facts about the natural world, giving students a chance to put up questions and express themselves. They also embarked on an enriching educational field trip to the Art & Science Museum. During their visit, they explored the fascinating journey of Earth’s evolution through interactive exhibits and hands-on activities.

We had the privilege to welcome few exemplary guest speakers this month, each bringing valuable insights to our students:

  • Grade 4B Guest Lecture: Mr. Bhupinder Singh Budwal, a Nutritionist and Meta Health Coach – Level 3, and Mrs. Pawanpreet Kaur Budwal, founder of Sony School of Gymnastics and an International Gymnastics Coach, shared tips on health and fitness with Grade 4B, and conducted an impactful yoga session teaching them the art of physical health, mind and soul. The kids were extremely happy with this power packed session.

  • EYP1A Guest Lecture: Dr. Geet Lamba, an Assistant Professor of Sociology with a Ph.D., engaged EYP1A in a discussion about emotions, drawing on her research expertise.
