Here’s what our students have to say about VSE 2.0

Online classes are fun as teachers share interesting videos to help us understand the topics well. We do get to interact with our teachers and friends virtually but I prefer school better as we can have more fun. The only drawback is that it strains my eyes and I get a headache. But in a pandemic situation, like we are facing now, it’s the best way to continue learning. By Aaradhana, Grade 4

I feel good about online classes as they are fun and we would pay more attention to the teacher as it is educational and it would be easier for the teacher to communicate with us. By Chaitra, Grade 5

Math aa HL– The teaching is excellent. The topics are explained in detail and all the student’s doubts are being clarified. Even the difficult topics in the textbook are explained with great ease and detail. Overall, Math class is extremely interesting and fun. Thank you, Rajesh Sir!

Business Management-SL – This is a class I look forward for in the day. Every power point presentation is done in a way that is easy to read, fun , interactive as well as extremely informative. Thank you, Tuhina ma’am!

Chemistry-HL – This class transports us into another world. Chemistry is extremely interesting and the simulations used while teaching help us visualize the world in a completely different way. Thank you, Molly ma’am!

Physics-HL – If there is one class that is interactive , fun , interesting , innovative and challenging, it is Physics. Every aspect of Physics is interesting and enjoyable. Thank you, Biju Sir!

French ab initio- SL – This class transports us into the world of France right from our very homes. I had no prior knowledge of French but was able to understand the classes right away. The classes are well planned and every topic taught is very clear and easy to understand. Thank you, Arkojyothi Sir! By Prakeerthi

Math: Class has been extremely fun and enthusiastic. With the 2 week headstart we had before actual getting into the curriculum has made most concepts easier to understand. With sirs prompt and positive feedback, we have been able to improve our skills and make drastic progress.

Biology: Biology has been the most awaited class of the week for me. Due to the low student count, quality student teacher exchange has been taking place. Ma’am has always aimed towards making us think and discover the answers ourselves. We have always questioned every concept and have tried to understand it from the roots. Science is a representation of reality, there is nothing right or wrong and there is no exact answer to anything. In biology class, more than the actual theory, we are learning the practical ways to apply the learnt concepts, this makes us actually understand the lesson rather than just reading it and remembering.

Psychology: Psychology class has been extremely exciting. Maam has always been supportive and open, allowing us to freely put forward our views and opinions. It has been very interactive and fun. There is always a group discussion before we conclude something learnt. We have taken to, understanding psychology as a science and gathering evidence for everything said. With fun games and activities we have started learn the different ways of thinking and perspectives by analyzing our own responses.

Chemistry: Chemistry class has been an extremely interactive and exciting class. With the numerous activities, simulations and pot’s we have been able to learn the concepts thoroughly. Rather than the theory, we are focusing on understanding the practical uses and real life scenarios a chemical reaction can take place. We have learnt a lot in the first few weeks, I cant wait to see how much progress we can if we continue to work together.

French: French classes have been very nice and systematic, sir has taken through the basics of the language and given us an idea of what the subject is offering. Through the activities and fun projects, we are able to extend our linguistic skills and grasp the language faster. By Roshni

We’ve been in school for a couple of weeks now and classes have been going well. Economics and french classes are very interactive, keeping the class interesting and stimulating.

In math we are given not only mathematical problems in class but small amounts of homework everyday to make for extra practice. ESS and Business management are going well. By Sanjana

Every subject was enjoyable and fun to learn but it would be better if Homeworks are reduced and there is more gap between each subject or the school timings are reduced. By Piyush

The virtual classes have been going on extremely well. A real classroom atmosphere has been imitated perfectly, despite the many challenges. Though sometimes a few unfortunate technical issues cause complications, accessing the classes and communicating has been very easy. With our teachers prompt responses, support and guidance, adjusting into this new way of schooling has become a lot more simpler. With the several group projects and fun activities there is a good amount of creativity put in. With the current pandemic, actual schooling is unsafe and dangerous, but by adopting the virtual schooling system the learning never stops. I would like to thank my teachers for their hardwork and time put in to make this the best as possible. I don’t know when things will get back to normal but I have started to love my classes very much….

It has been nearly a month since virtual school has started and I think it was a great idea to put up the online classes. I really have a lot of entertaining classes especially math because our sir is really friendly. And if we go into the sciences , biju sir is a good teacher in all the three science physics is my favourite, and biju sir always makes physics more interesting. Chemistry is a subject which I was not very good at but now I actually think I got better at it .This is because of Molly mam , she always shows us more interesting ways to learn. And then we have french , which is very hard to understand but i took ab initio which is like the basics of french and I find the basics pretty easy because I have experience in lower classes for the basics, so the classes now are going good and our teacher arkojyothi sir also gives more easier ways to learn french like videos, pictures ,ppts etc. And the last but not the least , business management. The fact is I dropped economics in 10th so it might be hard to cope up but i am doing pretty ok in it. Even tuhina mam helps me a lot when I get any doubts. And google meets might not be a great software to do the meetings because I have seen students getting kicked out for no reason like even when there is no connection problem. I hope school fixes these problems soon. So that was my reflection towards virtual classes. Thank you!! By Roshni
