Oak Venture – A student exchange program to help students grow personally as well as professionally
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine
Student Exchange Programs broaden students’ educational experiences and intercultural understanding. It helps in building a better person, who is able to handle unfavourable scenarios with a broader mind. Because, the more the students explore, the more they become independent and confident beings. The overarching exchange experience encourages students to develop independent opinions. Apart from exploring the various parts of the country, they get the opportunity of knowing a lot about themselves. As India’s top international school, Oakridge launched an inter-campus student exchange program called OAKVENTURE.
As part of the student exchange program, students from Newton campus Hyderabad are being hosted by Oakridge, one of the best schools in Chandigarh students. The ‘connect’ between students of both campuses was amazing! Each day spent together developed friendships and bonds among the students. It was a power packed exchange program that included a village tour, Bhangra Session, Heritage Walk-Amritsar, Virasat-e-Khalsa, and more. Students not only got an opportunity to explore the city but also their culture and lifestyle. They also learned Turban and paranda tying. It was fun filled and learning for Newton kids where they merged with Mohali kids and created lifetime memories and friendship.
Students from Oakridge Einstein campus, Hyderabad also visited Oakridge, one of the best boarding schools in India, Vizag. The main motto is to make the students independent and responsible citizens. During this 5 day trip, they stayed with the host parents whose kids are Oakridgers and one day at the boarding where they enjoyed the campfire. They explored the Vizag city including TU-142 aircraft, submarine, harbour and to Kambalakonda for the adventures sports. Oakventure not only help our students grow personally by indulging themselves in learning about new culture and language, but also the vast pool of future growth opportunities with the practical experience and the challenging environment makes it worth the change.
