Oakridgers make a clean sweep of medals at the All India Table Soccer Championship 2016

Oakridge, one of the top schools in Chandigarh participated in the All India Open Table Soccer championship 2016 on 6 and 7 May 2016 organized by Chandigarh table soccer association. The students collected a total of 17 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in the various categories.

In the U-10 Doubles girl’s category, Muskan Kohli and SimarSukh bagged first position. In the U-12 Doubles girls category, Sanjana Soni and Mehak bagged the first place and runner up were Madhvi and Antarveer. In the U-12 Singles category, Bakshnoor Brar secured the gold medal. In U-14 Doubles, Anmol and Anam secured the first position.

In the boy’s categories, in U-12, Jaskaran Singh Tiwanabagged first place in rookie doubles. Mankirat and Harsh Kumar secured the first position in the doubles category. The second place was taken by Kanan Nehra and Abhayveer. While the singles category, Aditya Tehlan secured first place. In the U-14 category, Sukhman and Navekam achieved the first place in semi pro doubles, while second place was bagged by Chitman and the third place was also bagged by Oakridgers Yuvraj Singh and Tanush Jindal in the semi pro doubles. Gursahil Singh and Dhanwant Singh secured the first place in the doubles category, while Harshdeep Singh and Arshdeep Singh bagged the second place. In the U-16 category, Yuvraj Mann and Yuvraj Cheema secured the gold medal.

The major credit for this show of amazing talent by Oakridgers goes to the coaches Mr Ashok Kumar and Mr Parjinder Singh. Many reputed schools acroos India participated in this championship. It was proud moment when out of the 26 students who participated all achieved the laurels.
