Students cook food without fire
Have you ever thought of cooking delicious cuisines without fire? The Oakridge, one of the best schools in Chandigarh organised ‘Oak Master Chef Competition’, here onTuesday,19th of April,2016, where delicious cuisines were prepared without fire. Students from grade 4 and 5 were found actively participating in the event.
The competition was conducted an hour before the lunch inviting a huge applause. Forty students took part in the event. Fruit salad, Spanish salad, chocolate train, Amritsari kulcha, oats cookie delight, caterpillar sandwich, mango and strawberry buttermilk, special papri chaat, banana icecream , cold past mogito and veg sandwich were some of the food items that were prepared by the students on the spot without fire. There was an ambience of excitement and thrill in the school. The Principal, Ms Ramanjeet Ghuman greatly appreciated the efforts put in by each single participant for presenting their culinary skills.
The judgement criteria was based on hygiene, nutritive value associated with the ingredients used, table décor and overall presentation. The jury members were also all smiles after feasting on tempting food items.
