On 14th September, Oakridge International School Hyderabad launched the largest ‘Treehouse’ in town. This 523 Square feet structure perched at 22 feet in height amidst the shades of beautiful trees, offers an out-of-classroom learning experience for the school students. The Treehouse project was started with an aim to offer a more engaging and interactive learning atmosphere for early graders outside the confines of a classroom.
Shahin Moidu, a child by heart and an expert in the field of child education cut the ceremonial red ribbon to officially open this new space. Later, the tiny tots of Oakridge, one of the best schools in Hyderabad, were submerged in the beautiful stories narrated by her with the unmatched gesticulations forged.
“The idea of each and every detail of this learning platform is remarkable. It has covered up everything that a child would see and enjoy. A child should learn to think and nature is one of the best places to think. This Treehouse is an ideal environment for these kids to get along with the new learning”, said Shahin.
The stories of fairy tales then brought by Mrs. Neha Rajgaria, an event coordinator and an expert storyteller, who believes that students understand better when they experience it in the real world.
Adorned with plenty of birds, monkeys, squirrels, butterflies, and many other soft toys decorated, this new space on campus provides a great learning atmosphere for kids amidst nature’s surroundings. The tree house provides a peaceful atmosphere for the students to read and understand the science of nature. The school plans on using the tree house for storytelling sessions for early graders, conducting out-of-classroom workshops, mini-theatre plays, science classes, and lot more.
