Reviving the lost glory of food culture in Hyderabad

Sahil Verma of grade 11 from Oakridge, one of the best International Schools in Hyderabad, Gachibowli had the launch of his coffee table book Hyd and Seekh‘ on 13th July. The book is his debut into the large literary world and an attempt to spread awareness of how diverse and rich the Hyderabadi culinary traditions are and how it is so much more than just Biryani and Haleem.

Mixing his passions for creative writing and photography, his journey was no less than an adventure. He was mentored by Ms.Lakshmi Devi Raj and Mr. Mohammed Alam Khan, both of whom are people well-versed with the Hyderabadi culture and its cuisine. Sahil Verma, our budding writer credits his successful book launch to the motivation and support provided by his faculty at Oakridge International School, Gachibowli.
