Roadshow to Schoolpreneur Summit 2018 was organized for developing entrepreneurship in students through new methods of learning
On 17, the young aspiring entrepreneurs geared towards pitching their business ideas at the Schoolpreneurship Summit 2018 Roadshow, held on this Saturday at Oakridge, one of the top International Schools in Hyderabad Gachibowli. Around 257 students from 37 different schools across the city step up in this India’s Biggest Idea Pitching Event. These students from Grade 6-12 delivered effortless spiel in front of the targeted audience of potential investors and veterans to scale up their ideas. There were around 12 industry experts and entrepreneurs to assess the student ideas. Choosing a career to pre-book of parking space, over 155 ideas were screened by the students who came up with incredible solutions to solve our world problems. Wherefrom, 17 selected ideas were exposed to the guests and students had a one-on-one discussion with the audience.
With idea pitching rounds and idea expo, a panel discussion is being organized during the Roadshow to Schoolpreneur Summit 2018. The most successful industry experts as the panel members gathered and discussed the role of parent and school management to nurture the child with the skills required to survive in the machine age. The panel members were Srilakshmi Reddy, Founder, and Director at Keystone Education Group; Renuka Bodla, Entrepreneur Mentor Investor at Hyderabad Angels and IIIT Seed Fund; Mr. Anil Kolli, Director at Samaikya Educations; Bhanu Prakash Varla, Director at GrayLogic Technologies; Pavan Allena, Founder of Metamorphosis. They enthusiastically discussed the importance of such mock entrepreneurial journey for students which would help them gain an entrepreneurial skill set in the field of smart community.
Speaking on this event, Arjun Rao, Principal of Oakridge Gachibowli said, “Entrepreneurship is an essential component of being a learner in the 21st century. To have an idea, understand its implications and service to the community, conceive of methods to introduce it to the world, test and pilot it and then return to the drawing board and go through the process again must be mandatory learning for all students today.
