The activity was designed to mimic real elections and used to teach students about the election process.
It was held purely as a teaching-learning practice, which is a great tool to help non-voters have a voice of their own if held alongside the real election.
Prior to the election process, students formed their own parties and Young Neta’s carried out the campaign successfully and delivered their speeches to enlighten the new voters about the election process and motivate them to choose their representative.
On the election day voter’s were excited to be part of Mock Election 2018- 19. Students lined up to cast their votes at Oakridge Gachibowli, known to be one of the best CBSE schools in Hyderabad.
Voting took place with the presiding Polling officers at work.
Voter’s after casting their vote was quite excited. After counting, votes results were declared and RIP party won the election with a majority of votes.
