Grade 4 and 5 of Oakridge traveled to Mysore, Coorg, and Bengaluru from 9th–13th October 2018 and made memories for a lifetime.
Taking an adventurous vacation will undoubtedly lead you to do things that you wouldn’t think to do at the comfort of your home. It can actually do more to improve your quality of life like you will be more resilient. Two groups of teenagers from Grade 4 and 5 were sent on an adventurous cum learning voyage to places that included a peek into the history, camping, exploration of the city through mountains and rivers. Oakridgers learned the personal skills necessary to help themselves and each other get through any situation.
At Mysore, the students experienced the magnificent beauty of the Mysore Palace during Dussehra celebrations.
They visited the Bird’s Aviary where they were introduced to several species of birds that they had never seen before.
They said Coorg was a wonderful place. Then the students visited Omkareshwara temple.
Experienced the eternal peace at the Tibetan Monastery.
Enjoyed the gorgeous sunset view from the hilltop ‘Raja’s Seat’.
And had a great time visiting the Dubare elephant camp,
as well as the deer park at Nisargadhama while feeding the animals.
The GRS Fantasy Park was a treat to the eyes and soul.
Some moments you experience while traveling blow you away, in ways you never expected. The learnings and experience stay with you forever.
It was definitely a trip to remember.
