Oakridger Varsha Devarakonda receives Kalpshree Nritya Kalaanidhi Award

Rightly said that “it takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be dancer”. Kalpashree Indian Arts and Cultural Festival by Karnataka Organization has organized a three-day International Dance Fair from 21 – 23 October 2018 in Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. It was beautifully organized under the guidance of Guru Sujendra. This fair was inaugurated by the Chief guest of honor, Film actor, Smt. Jamuna.

Arts know no bars and boundaries, it’s natural, they provoke our inner conscience and give inner happiness to us. The leader of Yuvakalavahini Lion Y.K Nageswar Rao, Lion Kala Janardhan Murty, Guru Sheik Kalil, Kishore and Various Dance teachers assembled in the Gana Saba have transformed it into the Diaz of the dance hall. Dance Masters from Various States, Suchismita, Prabhavati, Roshini, Shruthi, Sandhya Shekar, Dr.Meenakshi, Venkat, Sheik Khalil, Hasanthi, Lolita have presented their dance forms and filled the environment with showers of happiness.

In this event, Varsha Devarakonda of Grade 9 K had participated and won the Kalpshree Nritya Kalaanidhi Award. Her forte is Bharatnatyam and magnificently she justified her performance with elegance and ease. This young artiste shines at the festival and was known for her graceful dancing skills.
