Ms. Hemalatha Sanjay or Hema as she is fondly called, is a passionate educator, an excellent administrator and a self- motivator with a career spanning over 18 years. She is an open minded and enthusiastic person, who maintains consistent interaction with her students, par-ents and other stakeholders.
She has been associated with Oakridge since its formative years and has been part of the out-standing growth that Oakridge has witnessed. Prior to Oakridge, she worked as a faculty in edu-cational institutions in Canada. As an IB professional, Hema is a trained School Visiting Team Leader (SVTL), a Consultant and a Workshop Leader. She has conducted many workshops in the Asia Pacific region and within India as well. She also visits IB curriculum schools as a part of the Authorization and Evaluation team. She has over 12 years of experience in the IB domain.
Hema works closely with her students to identify their strengths and academic potential. She has designed several leadership programs that involves every child and has instilled confi-dence in them. Hema holds a degree in Applied Botany, a Masters in Early Childhood Education and Masters in Psychology, in addition to various certifications in the International Baccalau-reate (IB) domain.
Ms. Baljeet Oberoi, a professional in the field of education for almost two decades brings with her vast experience in International Curriculum including 13 years in Middle East wherein she contributed to the school as Head of Maths and Head of Professional Development.
She had been part of Oakridge Newton from 2012 to 2016 and took up roles of IGCSE Coordinator, IBDP Math Faculty and lead the MYP team as MYP Coordinator. In her previous assignment with Indus International School, she worked as the Head of Middle School and successfully launched Middle Years Programme (MYP) and was instrumental in getting the school authorised. Ms Baljeet to her educational credits, has a Master degree in Mathematics and has attained distinctions in Bachelor Degree of Education and Cambridge International Certificate for Teachers Examination. She has attended numerous IB and CIE workshops and regional conferences in India as well as abroad. She also had the honour to attend teacher’s forum of great world leaders like Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Mr Bill Clinton and Mr Lal Krishna Advani.
She is a committed educationist and a leader with a passion for learning and with the experience of enabling pupils from a rich cultural mix, of all abilities, to receive the most challenging of educational opportunities and achieve their full academic and personal potential, emphasizing and understanding their cultural needs. She truly believes that a classroom is not only a ‘Temple of Learning’ but most importantly a ‘Temple of Transformation.’ According to her, the greatest joy one can derive is turning lives around. Nothing is as exciting and rewarding as being the cause of somebody’s success, and only a teacher is bestowed with this unique gift.
She is blessed with two lovely kids. Her daughter, Karneet Kaur is pursuing her BBA LLB from Symbiosis and son, Jasraj Singh is an IBDP Grade 12 student inclined towards Automobile Engineering.
