Amita Gondi of Grade 12 won in the Girls Under -17 Champions in India Junior Open, International Squash Tournament and secured the third position in Canada Junior Open. She received “The Best Swimmer Award” at CBSE National Swimming Meet 2012 and won 3 gold at 30th Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship 2013. Amita has secured a brilliant 10/10 CGPA score in her 10th CBSE Board exam.

Manthena Lalit Sriram Varma of Grade 10 made through the selection for Junior India Basketball Team. He represented India from SGF in Under-17 Tournaments held in Croatia from 30 April to 5 May 2017.

Arnav Khurma won the third position in the International Robotronics Competition held on 3rd June 2017 in Beijing, China. Pranav Ikkurthy of Grade 9 has won 18 National Tournaments including Hyderabad National held in Vashista Tennis Academy, TAMS National Tennis Tournament held in Bangalore in the under 14 category and he also got selected to represent India in his first out of country ITF in Lebanon.

Oakridger Shahzeb makes it to the National Futsal Tournament

Oakridger Shahzeb Husain of Grade 11 got selected for the Second National Futsal Tournament and played for Telangana. This event was hosted by The Haryana Futsal Association where 12 states participated.Team Telangana beat Tamil Nadu in the finals to the score 2-0 and was the winner. Oakridger at Rio Olympics

Oakridger Shruthi Reddy from Grade XII has been selected to be a member of the I Matrix worldwide. The organization has got an opportunity to participate in the Rio 2016 Cultural Fest conducted by the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Shruthi is the only girl representing South India. Her spectacular achievements truly make Oakridge proud.

Oakridger Saiteja goes global

Oakridger Saiteja Kambhampati, Grade 9, recently attended prestigious Duke Talent Identification Program (DUKE TIP) at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. This program was a residential program, where few students are selected and mentored by Duke University faculty. Saiteja’s area of interest was “Robotics Programming” and he made working Robots.

Oakridger Amita Gondi once again made us proud by winning the Summer Classic Squash Championship 2016, held at Delhi Gymkhana Club from 25th to 30th June 2016. Being the top seed, Amita lived up to the expectations without dropping a single set in the tournament. Post floods, Jammu & Kashmir had a tough time dealing with the basic supplies for victims. Students of Newton Campus took initiative and contacted organizations that were transporting items to the affected area. Students donated soaps, toothbrushes, dry milk powder packets, coconut water bottles, and packs of sanitary napkins.

Oakridger Ritika Rao, the youngest in the world to achieve FCE

Oakridger Ritika Rao, is the world’s first youngest to get First Certificate in English (FCE). She cleared her Cambridge First Certificate in English with the highest honors, showing exceptional abilities in reading, writing, use of English, listening and speaking. By this achievement, Ritika demonstrated ability at Council of Europe level C1, which is equivalent to NQF Level 2 and also certificate in Advanced English of Cambridge University.

Pranav Ikkurity’s succeeded at All India Tennis Tournament

Oakridger Pranav Ikkurity participated and secured Second position in the National level Vasishta Open Tennis Tournament, Hyderabad, organized by the AITA (All India Tennis Association).

Oakridgers were a part of the Honolulu Student Global Leadership Program

Oakridgers, Nikhil Jain, Payal Nagpal and Nitya Raju were selected to be a part of the Student Global Leadership Program, at Punahou in Honolulu, USA.

The trio represented India in this two-week program, along with other countries like China, Denmark, England, Jordan, Japan, Korea and the United States.

Oakridger J. Vaishnavi Reddy won the All India Sub Juniors Ranking Badminton Championship Under-13, Singles and Doubles held in Bhagalpur, Bihar from 7th-13th July.

Harsh Lohoti won the State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, held at St. Paul’s Table Tennis Academies. Harsh defeated Shehit of Bharathi Vidhya Bhavan School by 12-10, 11-9, 11-9, 12-10 score.

Oakridgersshone as budding entrepreneurs in Boston Young Entrepreneurship Challenge

Oakridgers – Ananya. P, Sanjana Reddy, Nribhay Sindhi, Sherya Reddy, Pravallika Reddy, Rachna Vunka, Eshika Agarwal, Vishal Bommenna, Ujjwal Bansal and Harsha Chitturi participated in the Boston University’s Young Entrepreneurship Challenge, from 6th July to 12th July at Boston.

The team attended the 3-day workshop, conducted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Tufts University and North-eastern University, from 13th July-15th July, 2014.

Oakridger brought TyE glory

Dost Alladin, Pranathi Dandu, Jaswant Tumala were selected for the 8-member team from India, to compete with 26 teams from different countries, at TyE Global Competition 2014, at Vancouver, Canada.

A competition was held at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, The first two winning teams had to plan and work on a new business idea, at Vancouver 2014.

Oakridger Vaishnavi accomplished the National Level Badminton Championship

Oakridger Jakka Vaishnavi Reddy won at the RangaReddy District Badminton Championship, held from 27th to 29th May at PJR Stadium, Chandanagar.

She was the winner of Under-13 Doubles, Under-15 Singles, Under-15 Doubles, Under-17, 19 Doubles and was also the First Runner up in the Under-13 Singles Badminton Championship.

Oakridger Ayush Rudraraju of Grade VIII CIE achieved a world ranking of no. 39 and an Indian team rank of no. 2, in 1st International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) Junior Cup in SUHL, Germany

He was quoted to be the youngest athlete ever to compete in the history of the ISSF Junior Competition in that year.

He also represented India at the 6th International Junior Shotgun Cup from 21st to 27th July 2014 at Orimattila, Finland.

Oakridge International School Newton campus scored a comfortable 54–25 win over Gitanjali School, won in 2013-14 BFI-IMG Reliance School Basketball U-19 Boys Tournament, held at YMCA Secunderabad. Karthik from Oakridge was adjudged the ‘Best Player’ of the Tournament.

Oakridger Ahalya’s unsurpassed performance at AP Aquatic Swimming Meet

Ahalya Rajagopalan, Grade X CBSE, gave a phenomenal performance in the Andhra Pradesh Aquatic Swimming Meet, at Vijayawada. Ahalya won three gold medals in 100 mts Breaststroke, 4×100 mts Freestyle Relay and 4×100 mts Medley Relay. She also achieved a silver medal in 50 mts Breaststroke.
