Prudhvi Reddy Battu, a 14-year-old student of Oakridge International School Visakhapatnam won a Gold medal at the 55th National Roller and Inline Hockey championship. He has received many accolades along with numerous district and state level awards. Now he is getting to play on the world stage for which he will receive training at a camp organized by the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP). The journey from district-level to state-level to the National Championship and now to the internationals made a large impact on his life to which he said, “I am very happy with the achievement and proud to be a part of Andhra Pradesh Roller Inline Hockey team. I am very much excited to represent India. I am thankful to my honorable coach as well as my school for the continuous support.” His parents as well as the school where he studies, are eagerly looking for him to play in the International Tournaments representing India soon.
In addition to this achievement, his father said “It’s a great honor as our child won a gold medal in national inline hockey skates. All the credit goes to Oakridge school members. So I would like to thank the school for the support and wish the same encouragement in education.”
