Oakridger Abhyudaya Katike and Oakridger Arnav Khurma at the TCS IT WIZ 2018
It is a proud moment for Oakridge International School, Newton Campus as two of our students from CBSE segment Abhyudaya Katike of Grade 12 and Arnav Khurma of Grade 9 made it to the REGIONAL FINALS at India's biggest inter-school IT Quiz, TCS IT Wiz 2018. They performed remarkably well and clinched the 2nd Runner-Up position.
On 1 August 2018, over 800 students under 400 teams from across 80 schools in Hyderabad signed up for the IT Quiz competition. The students competed with a lot of enthusiasm and competitive spirit for the regional round of India's biggest inter-school IT Quiz - TCS IT Wiz conducted at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Hyderabad. There were 18 students participated accompanied by Head ICT, Mr Mirza Asjad Baig in this quiz competition from Oakridge International School, Newton Campus also known as one of the best CBSE Schools in Hyderabad.
The prelim got underway as Quizmaster Lloyd Saldanha set the pace with a challenging set of 20 questions to shortlist the 6 finalists. The questions were quite interesting and 6 schools made it to the regional finals. Among the 6 finalists, Oakridge students made it to the regional finals.
The chief guest, Dr. E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy (IFS) Regional Passport Officer, Hyderabad, thoroughly enjoyed the quiz and congratulated the teams on holding their nerve and toughing it out to victory. Mr.V Rajanna, Regional Head TCS - AP and Telangana was also present as the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
