The students of Oakridge, one of the Best Schools in Bengaluru participated in the International French Spell Bee organized by Frehindi organization, a Student Benefit Organization striving to help students become global citizens by providing Global exposure via languages, cultural exchange programs, contests & access to international education opportunities. The contest comprised of 3 rounds. The last and final round was a live round held in Delhi on 16 January 2018.
Anvit Anand (6A), Nathan Fernandez (7A) and Saanika Gupta (7B) were the three finalists from Oakridge. Around 200 students from various schools across India and abroad participated in the competition. Nathan Fernandez won the second prize in the contest for the intermediate level and he was awarded a trophy, certificate as well as a choice between an all-expense paid trip to Pondicherry or an iPad-mini.
All three students were awarded Gold medal for getting into the finals. The school also bagged the Zonal topper award for “Débutant” level in Bangalore zone.
Anvit Anand and Nathan Fernandez were also the school toppers in the first round with 100% and 97.6% respectively.
