Oakridge - Welcome to Oakridge International School- International Schools-
Evaluation at Oakridge International School focuses on the child's all-round development. The Oakridge Touchstone System, contrary to the conventional system of marks or grades, describes the progress that the student is making with regard to learning and identifies areas for growth. In a variety of learning areas, as a tool, it enables teachers, parents, pupils and stakeholders to reflect on the strengths and challenges. The Oakridge International School which follows the Oakridge Touchstone rating is supported by a continuous formative assessment done on a continuous basis. The five point rating scale is denoted by colors as below. Performance Standards| | Advanced | The student demonstrates outstanding competence beyond what is expected for the class level at this time of the year. He/She can perform independently and apply his/her learning to new and different situations. |
| | Proficient | The student is competent and performs slightly above expected class level. He/She exhibits higher levels of skill and effort. |
| | Standard | The student is competent and performs to the expected class level. He/She can maintain his/her performance with little assistance from the teacher. |
| | Emerging | The student demonstrates limited ability and understanding of the concept/skill. He/She is dependent on the teacher and needs direct instructions. |
| | Below standard | The student's skills, effort and attitude are below class level expectation. |
