Our Approach at OIS

  • Consider safety as a continuous process of creating & sustaining a safe school culture & environment.
  • Safety measures at OIS include visual and electronic surveillance, safety & security systems and physical guarding.
  • Follow all safety principles, sensitize people, and refine processes and maintenance of independent vigilance by the Chief Safety Officer.
  • Regular Safety checks conducted & Security Audits held to evaluate risks. Risk mitigation resources, procedures, personnel incorporated in the Safe School Plan.
  • Emergency drills & contingency plans regularly rehearsed and updated.
  • Highly trained security guards especially sensitized to work with students.
  • An efficient and vigilant Security Manager to monitor every eventuality.

Safety School Plan Goals 

  • To provide an environment in which every student feels comfortable, safe and secure in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect, conducive to the development of a wholesome personality.
  • To provide equal opportunities for all students admitted to the institution regardless of ability, levels, religion, culture, gender, ethnic origin or class.
  • To encourage understanding, acceptance and positive interaction between students and to have a regard for each other's privacy and possessions.
  • To develop in students responsibility towards their own self, others, environment and to encourage the development of leadership qualities.

  • Administrative controls( Dos & Don’ts)

  • Minimizing risks by process tweaking, trained staff and safety devices
  • Quick evacuation/Rescue/Medical aid
  • Actions by trained staff to control the risk till expert help arrives
